Speaking of life's great teachers and gifts, my memere (grandma, to those who don't recognize the term) is very ill. I travelled this week to Kansas to be with my mother, Pepere (grandpa) and all of my uncles and aunts as they celebrate the life of such a beautiful and loving woman. Eleanor Bellerive, she is divine and truly a gift from heaven. I pray for her comfort and a safe return Home.

Memere died peacefully while being prayed over; with her husband of 64 years holding her hands, 2 daughters with their hands on her and a granddaughter rubbing her forehead. She brought joy to so many. She will be truly missed!
